Simple Photo Gallery collects anonymous telemetry to help us improve the product. We collectio the following data:

  • • Whether the command succeeded or failed
  • • An anonymous identifier for the user
  • • The user's country

  • • Timestamp
  • • Package name and version
  • • Node.js version
  • • Operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • • OS version and architecture

Performance Metrics

  • • Number of photos processed
  • • Gallery generation statistics
  • • Processing performance data

Error Information

  • • Error types when commands fail
  • • Error messages (without personal data)
  • • Crash reports for debugging

Privacy Notice

We do not collect any personal information, file contents, photo metadata, or file paths. All telemetry is completely anonymous and helps us understand how the tool is used so we can make it better. We only which parameters were used but not the values that were passed.

You can opt out of telemetry at any time by setting the environment variable SPG_TELEMETRY=0or using the --telemetry 0 flag.
